The YoungMBA Teaching Fellowship
A hands-on teaching internship for older teens who want to help run our free Outreach Fellowships — real classroom reps, mentorship from YoungMBA instructors, and a program you help run, not just attend.
Real Teaching Experience
Co-teach live Zoom sessions alongside a YoungMBA instructor, lead small breakout discussions, and give feedback on student projects — genuine classroom time, not busywork.
Mentorship & Training
Every Teaching Fellow is onboarded and coached by our staff first, so you walk in prepared — this builds your own leadership and public-speaking skills along the way.
Service Hours & a Résumé Line
We provide documented volunteer hours and a reference letter on request — a genuine, description-worthy internship for college applications, not a certificate mill.
Who We're Looking For
- Ages 16-19, with parental or guardian consent
- Comfortable speaking and teaching in English over Zoom
- Some background in one of our three tracks (public speaking/debate, AI & tech, or business/finance) — you don't need to be an expert, just ahead of a beginner
- Reliable internet, a Zoom-capable device, and a working microphone
- Able to commit to a recurring weekly slot for at least one full cohort (typically 8-10 weeks)
What the Fellowship Involves
- A short onboarding & training session before your first class
- Co-teaching or assistant-teaching 1-2 live sessions per week
- Helping review student work and answering questions between classes
- A brief check-in with staff at the midpoint and end of each cohort
- Ongoing support from a YoungMBA staff mentor throughout
